WTC Final: There is a big concern in front of the Indian cricket team just before the World Test Championship final – Captain Rohit Sharma. This final will be played between India and Australia from Wednesday 7 June at the Oval in London. Just before the final, captain Rohit's thumb is hurt, which is enough to bother. The question is, if Rohit is not fit by Wednesday, then who does Team India have as his replacement? Who will get the responsibility of opening?

Before answering this question, it is necessary to know the current situation regarding Rohit's injury. Captain Rohit got hit on the thumb while batting during Tuesday's practice session. Due to this Rohit had to leave the practice session. He taped his thumb. However, it is being told that the injury is not serious. Nevertheless, if the situation changes in the next 24 hours, then Team India will have to find other options.

Who in place of Rohit?

First of all, let us tell you that apart from the main squad of 15 players of Team India, two batsmen have been kept in reserve in the form of Suryakumar Yadav and Yashasvi Jaiswal. In such a situation, if Rohit is not fit, then obviously only one of them will get a chance.

Yashasvi Jaiswal

Rohit Sharma is an opener. Only Yashasvi Jaiswal has been taken in the team as a backup opener. In such a situation, naturally the chances of Yashasvi getting a chance are high. The young batsman has been batting consistently for the last few months. He has continuously rained runs in every format from domestic cricket to IPL. In such a situation, he is seen as a contender.

Cheteshwar Pujara

The second option is experienced batsman Cheteshwar Pujara. This is because it is not only the final match, but it is being played in England. On the other hand, Jaiswal has not even stepped into international cricket yet. In such a situation, instead of fielding him directly in such a big match, Pujara can also be used. Pujara has also opened for the team on some occasions before this. His experience can come in handy in England's swinging conditions.

Suryakumar Yadav

If Pujara is made to open, then a slight change in the batting order is certain. In such a situation, a batsman may be needed in the middle order and Suryakumar Yadav may get a chance here. Surya made his Test debut against Australia in February but did not get a second chance after just one match. If Pujara opens and Surya gets a chance, then he may have to bat at number three.
