He told that this used to happen a lot in earlier times, however now things have improved. Shama told during an interview that some well-known producers and makers wanted to be friends with her. Shama said that asking for sexual favors in return for work is a very low act.

In a recent interview, she has spoken on the casting couch. Shama told in a conversation with Bollywood Life, the industry has changed a lot and has become better. Young producers nowadays are very professional and treat people with respect. There is no concept of sex in exchange for work in their mind. Earlier producers used to tell me that they want to be friends with me. I used to think that we didn't work together then how can we be friends.

Said, casting couch is everywhere

To do this, you have to be an insecure and very low person. Some of the producers were well-known names in the industry. It shows that you don't have the confidence to win a woman's heart in a normal way. But the casting couch is not limited to just Bollywood. This happens everywhere. Shama said that the entire industry cannot be blamed for some people doing casting couch.
