World Cup 2023: Team India's preparations for the World Cup-2023 have suffered a major setback. Team India's second warm-up match to be played in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala has also been canceled due to rain. Earlier, Team India's warm-up match in Guwahati was also cancelled. This was the last chance for Team India to test its preparations. The Indian team will now start its journey in the World Cup with a match against Australia on 8 October. This match will be played in Chennai.

The World Cup is starting from 5th October. The first match of Team India will be on 8th October. After this, they will face Afghanistan in Delhi on 11th October. Team India's third match is against Pakistan on 15 October, Bangladesh in Pune on 19 October, New Zealand in Dharamshala on 22 October, England in Lucknow on 29 October, Qualifier team in Mumbai on 2 November, South Africa in Kolkata on 5 November and on 11 November Will be from the qualifier team in Bengaluru.

The practice match was Suryakumar Yadav's last chance to strengthen his claim for a place in the playing eleven. Former Indian coach Ravi Shastri said that if India's top order batsman performs well then you can play either Suryakumar or Shreyas Iyer. If all the players are scoring runs then this batsman (Suryakumar) can prove to be a trump card for you. In Indian conditions, our top order batsmen hardly have to struggle and in such a situation Surya will be included in my playing eleven.
