World Cup Qualifier 2025 / ICC's big tournament will be held again in Pakistan next month, schedule released

The ICC Women's ODI World Cup Qualifier 2025 will be held in Pakistan. Six teams will compete in the tournament to be held at two grounds in Lahore from 9 to 19 April. The top two teams will qualify for the main tournament to be held in India in October-November.

After the successful hosting of the Champions Trophy 2025, Pakistan is now set to host another major ICC tournament. ICC has announced the schedule for the Women's ODI World Cup Qualifier 2025. According to the schedule released on March 14, the tournament will be held at two major stadiums in Lahore. The first match will be played on April 9, while the final will take place on April 19.

A total of six teams will participate in this tournament, out of which two teams will qualify for the main event to be held in India in October-November. Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and host India have already secured their spots in the World Cup by finishing in the top 6 of the ICC Women's Championship (2022-25).

Teams Participating in the Qualifier

Four full member nations - Bangladesh, Ireland, Pakistan, and West Indies - will compete in this tournament alongside Scotland and Thailand. The tournament will feature a total of 15 matches. Bangladesh, Ireland, Pakistan, and West Indies have qualified for the qualifier by finishing between seventh and tenth positions in the ICC Women's Championship. Meanwhile, Thailand and Scotland have secured their spots by ranking as the top two associate nations in the ICC Women's ODI team rankings as of October 28, 2024.
