SA vs AFG: South Africa defeated Afghanistan by 5 wickets in their last league match in the World Cup 2023. The team achieved the target of 245 runs in Ahmedabad by losing 5 wickets in 47.3 overs. Rassie van der Dussen played an unbeaten inning of 76 runs. Opener Quinton de Kock contributed 41 runs and David Miller contributed 24 runs. Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan got 2-2 wickets.

Afghanistan won the toss and batted first at the Narendra Modi Stadium and the team was all out after scoring 244 runs in 50 overs. Azmatullah Omarzai played an unbeaten inning of 97 runs. Gerald Cooties took 4 wickets for South Africa. Lungi Ngidi and Keshav Maharaj took 2-2 wickets.

Good start for South Africa, did not lose a single wicket in 10 overs
