Being out of the Test series means Bavuma will not be seen playing even in the last match against India. The last Test of the series between India and South Africa is to be played in Cape Town from 3 January 2024. Elgar will be the captain of South Africa in that test also. Temba Bavuma out of test series

Temba Bavuma had to be ruled out due to an injury sustained in the Centurion Test. He suffered this injury while fielding, due to which his left hamstring was strained. He was scanned after the injury, due to which the situation appeared to be a bit serious. And this is the reason why he will not be seen playing the second and last test against India.

Due to injury, there is suspense over Temba Bavuma playing in the South Africa T20 League. In this league he is a part of Sunrisers Eastern Cape. The decision on his playing or not playing here will be taken after his medical examination before the start of the tournament.

This player replaced Bavuma, Elgar captain

After Temba Bavuma's ouster from South Africa's Test team, the captaincy was handed over to Dean Elgar. But, who replaced this 33-year-old player? So the answer is Zuber Hamza. 28-year-old Zuber Hamza made his Test debut against Pakistan in 2019. Since then, he has played 6 Tests, in which he has scored 212 runs with 1 half-century. His only half-century in Test came against India in the Test played in Ranchi. He played his last game last year.
