IND vs SL: Team India has won the third and deciding match of the T20 series against Sri Lanka by 91 runs. With this victory, India won the three-match series 2-1. The Indian team has won the 5th consecutive home series from Sri Lanka. There have been 6 series between the two teams so far. Out of these only there has been a draw. Which was played in 2009. At the Saurashtra Cricket Stadium in Rajkot, Team India scored a challenging score of 228 runs after winning the toss and batting. After that Sri Lankan batsmen were dismissed for 137 runs in 16.4 overs.

The hero of India's victory was Suryakumar Yadav. He scored 112 runs off 51 balls.

Suryakumar scored the first century of the year

Suryakumar Yadav scored a century in 45 balls against Sri Lanka. This is the third century of his T20 International career. Only India's Rohit Sharma could score more centuries than him in T20 career. Rohit has 4 T20 centuries to his name. Surya also scored the second fastest century for India. Before him Rohit had scored a century in 35 balls.

First: Kusal Mendis was dismissed on the 5th ball of 5 overs. He was caught by Umran Malik standing at short third man on Akshar's ball.

Second: Pathum Nisanka was dismissed on the third ball of the sixth over. He wanted to pull Arshdeep Singh's bouncer and caught Shivam Mavi standing at short third man.

Third: Avishka Fernando was dismissed on the very first ball of the 7th over. He was caught by Captain Pandya at the hands of Arshdeep standing at fine leg.

Fourth: Yuzvendra Chahal got Aslanka caught by Mavi on the third ball of the 10th over at the midwicket boundary.

Fifth: On the second ball of the 12th over, Chahal got De Silva caught by Mavi.

India scored 228 runs

Batting first after winning the toss, India scored 228 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Suryakumar completed the century on 45 balls. Apart from him, Shubman Gill scored 46 runs in 36 balls, while Rahul Tripathi scored 35 runs in 16 balls. Dilshan Madushanka got 2 wickets. Kasun Rajitha, Chamika Karunaratne and Hasaranga got one wicket each.

First: In the very first over, Ishaan Kishan was caught by Dhananjay de Silva standing at slip off Madushanka's ball.

Second: Rahul Tripathi is out. He caught Dilshan Madushanka at short third man on the 5th ball of the sixth over. He was dismissed by Chamika Karunaratne.

Third: Hasaranga bowled Shubman Gill on the fourth ball of the 15th over.

Fourth: On the 5th ball of the 16th over, Kasun Rajitha got Pandya caught at long off by Dhananjaya de Silva.

Fifth: In the 17th over, Deepak Hooda caught Hasranga at long on off Dilshan Madushanka.

Third wicket added 111 runs

After losing 2 wickets for 52 runs in the powerplay, Suryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill together added 111 runs for the third wicket. Shubman Gill got out after scoring 46 runs. Suryakumar Yadav scored 77 and Gill scored 32 runs in this partnership.
