IND vs BAN T20 Series: The Indian team has been announced for the three-match T20 series to be held after the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. The BCCI on Saturday announced the 15-member squad, in which Suryakumar Yadav has been appointed as the captain. Two new players have got a chance for the first time in this team, while a bowler has returned to Team India after three years. The special thing is that star wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan has been ignored by the selectors this time too, due to which he will have to wait longer to return to the team.

Mayank Yadav and Nitish Kumar Reddy got a chance

Fast bowler Mayank Yadav and all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy have been included in the Indian T20 team for the first time. Mayank Yadav, who impressed everyone with his speed and performance in IPL 2024, will now be a part of the national team. 22-year-old Mayank from Delhi troubled the batsmen with balls of over 150 kmph during the IPL. He set a record by bowling the fastest ball of 155.8 kmph, which he later broke at a speed of 156.7 kmph. However, due to injury he was able to play only 4 matches, but now after his fitness he has got a place in the Indian team.

At the same time, Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has also been called up to Team India for the first time. In IPL 2024, he caught everyone's attention with his brilliant performance and won the 'Emerging Player of the Season' award. Nitish is a player who performs well in both medium pace bowling and batting and with his selection the Indian team has got another strong all-rounder.

Ishan Kishan not returning, Varun Chakraborty returning

However, contrary to expectations, Ishan Kishan has not got a place in the team this time too. Ishan was recently selected in the Duleep Trophy and Irani Cup, due to which his return was being expected, but he has been dropped for this T20 series. The reason behind this could be his ongoing busy schedule and his rotation policy with some other key players.

At the same time, Varun Chakraborty has returned to the Indian team after three years. Mystery spinner Varun, who has been the key bowler of Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, represented India in the 2021 T20 World Cup. However, his performance and fitness at that time were not up to expectations, which led to his exit from the team. Now, with Gautam Gambhir as the coach, Varun's return is considered an important step.

Key players got a break

Many key players have not been given a place in the team for this T20 series. Players like Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, and Mohammad Siraj are currently busy in the Test series and have been given a break after this series. This will give new and young players a chance to showcase their talent.

T20 series starts from October 6

The three-match T20 series between India and Bangladesh starting from October 6 is eagerly awaited. With this series, the Indian T20 team will take the field after a gap of almost two months. In the last T20 series against Sri Lanka, India performed brilliantly with the new captaincy and coaching staff, and now it will be interesting to see how the young team performs this time too.

Opportunity for new players

In this series, young players will get a golden opportunity to showcase their talent. With new players like Mayank Yadav and Nitish Kumar Reddy, the return of Varun Chakraborty can give a new direction to the Indian team. An exciting and competitive series is expected from the Indian team led by captain Suryakumar Yadav.
