In north-west Delhi's Maurya Enclave area, a woman strangled her husband to death with the help of a pyjama. After the incident, with the help of the minor son, packed the body in a big sack. The body was also dumped on a bicycle and disposed of in a park in Pitampura. Police recovered the body, registered a case and started investigation. After investigation, the veil of the murder case came to light. The deceased was identified as Bharatlal (32). The police arrested Bharat's wife Lakshmi Devi (30) on charges of murdering her husband. During interrogation, Lakshmi revealed that her husband used to drink and beat her badly. Disturbed, Lakshmi decided to kill her husband. After killing the husband, the body was disposed with the help of the minor son. Police is investigating the matter by interrogating the accused.North-West District Deputy Commissioner of Police Usha Rangnani said that the dead body was found in a sack at the gate of Mahila Colony Park located in JP Block of Pitampura at around 10 pm on Sunday. The sack was closed with iron wire. When the sack was opened, injury marks were found on the neck of the deceased. He was later identified as Bharatlal, a resident of Pitampura. Bharat lived with his wife and two children on an under-construction site. The family was originally from Mahoba in Madhya Pradesh. When the police questioned Bharatlal's wife Laxmi, she started changing her statement again and again. She told that the husband had gone to get vegetables on Saturday evening. Didn't return after that. The police suspected him. On vigorous enquiry, Lakshmi broke down. She confessed to killing her husband. Lakshmi told that she has been married for fifteen years. Has two small children. Husband does nothing after marriage. Lakshmi works as a laborer at the construction site. Bharat used to bring liquor after taking money from Lakshmi. Later he used to drink alcohol and beat him.Disturbed by repeated disturbances, Lakshmi hatched a plan to kill her husband. A few months back, Lakshmi had brought sleeping pills from her village. On Saturday night, she mixed about 15 abuses in alcohol and made her husband drink. As soon as the husband fainted, he strangled her with the pulse of the pajamas. Later, with the help of the minor son, put the body in a sack. The sack was closed with iron wire present at the construction site. The next day on Sunday morning, with the help of his son, loaded the body on a bicycle and disposed it at the gate of Pitampura Park. The police have recovered the liquor bottle, nada and clothes worn by Bharat at the time of the crime. Police is investigating the matter after interrogating Lakshmi.
