Haridwar will be taken for the last rites shortly

After some time the body of the martyr will be taken to Haridwar for the last rites. 325 Light AD Havildar Jagendra Singh Chauhan, resident of Kanharwala, was martyred due to land sliding in Siachen Glacier. Retired Captain Manveer Singh Bisht, maternal uncle of Jagendra Singh Chauhan, resident of Kanharwala Bhaniawala, had informed about the martyrdom of Jagendra Singh Chauhan (35) son, retired Subedar Major Rajendra Singh Chauhan. 325 Light AD Battery Commander Major Paul informed them that Shaheed Jagendra Singh Chauhan was posted in Siachen Glacier.

Was supposed to come home on February 25

Wife Kiran Chauhan and mother Vimla Chauhan are in deep shock as soon as they get the information of his martyrdom. They got married about four years ago.

Former village head Narendra Singh Negi told that originally Rajendra Singh Chauhan, a resident of Bhanswadi, Thatyur block, Tehri Garhwal, was residing in Kanharwala Bhaniyawala since 2007.
