US Presidential Elections: Counting is left in only 7 states in the US Presidential Election. So far, results of 43 states have come. Out of these, Donald Trump of the Republican Party has won in 27 and Kamala Harris of the Democratic Party has won in 15. In one state, Maine, both parties have got one seat each. Trump is now just 23 seats away from the majority. He has got 248 seats out of 538 seats, while Kamala has got 214 seats. There is a difference of only 34 seats between the two. However, Trump is leading in 6 of the remaining 7 states. In such a situation, Kamala is on the verge of losing the election despite giving a tough fight.Kamala lagging behind in all swing states If Kamala loses, the only reason for this will be the swing states. Kamala has not got the lead in any of these. Trump has won 2 out of 7 swing states and is leading in 5. In the last election, Trump won only one swing state, North Carolina.Swing states are those states where the margin of votes between the two parties is very less. It can go either way. There are 93 seats in these states.Trump also captures the US Parliament Along with the presidential election, elections were also held for both the houses of the US Parliament, the Senate and the House of Representatives. In these, Trump's party Republican has won the Senate i.e. the upper house.They got 51 out of 93 seats. 50 seats were needed for majority. Republicans are also leading in the House of Representatives.In the lower house of Congress i.e. the House of Representatives, Democrats have got 133 seats, while Republicans have got 174 seats. It has 435 members, their tenure is for two years.If Trump wins this election, he will return to the White House after 4 years. Trump has been the President from 2017 to 2021. On the other hand, if Kamala Harris wins, she will create history by becoming the first woman President.
