Turkey–Syria War: Turkey has carried out a deadly drone attack in northern Syria. Turkey carried out this attack on Friday evening. Four US-backed fighters have been killed in this drone attack. While 11 civilians were injured. The injured have been taken to the hospital. The Kurdish-led force gave this information. A day before this attack on the US-backed and Kurdish-led 'Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)', the Turkish President had said that if the Kurdish-led groups go ahead with their plan to hold local elections, then his government will not hesitate to take action against them.

The death of American fighters has also brought Washington into action. The Turkish government alleges that these groups have links with Kurdish militants banned in Turkey. The SDF said that drones attacked its premises and houses and vehicles of common people in and around Qamishli eight times. Such attacks by Turkey are not uncommon in northern Syria. ‘

Ambulance also attacked

The Kurdish Red Crescent said that Turkey also targeted one of its ambulances when its paramedics were trying to reach the attacked areas. It said that the attack took place near the city of Amoudha, west of Qamishli. There is no immediate statement from Turkey yet. The Kurdish-led autonomous administration occupying the northern and eastern parts of Syria has announced to hold municipal elections on June 11.
