Indian-born Vikas Khanna went to New York as an aspiring chef 20 years ago, starting off as a dishwasher and delivery man. HeтАЩs now a celebrity chef, has cooked for the Obamas, hosted TV shows with Gordon Ramsay, written 25 books and created sumptuous meals costing nearly 40,000 US dollars each. HeтАЩs the former executive chef of Junoon, lauded for its inventive take on traditional Indian cuisine, and has been awarded a Michelin star for seven years in a row.

Vikas Khanna is also tackling the food supplies for migrant workers, under privileged, Dabbawalas, widows and millions of other facing hardships due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Vikas recently made his directorial debut movie, The Last Color, the film addresses an age old taboo surrounding widows in Vrindavan and Varanasi in India. It deals with how a 9-year old tightrope walker befriends one such widow and promises to add color to her life.

The film is adapted from Khanna's own book 'The Last Color' published by Bloomsbury Publishing.
