Recently a report was published on Pinkvilla. From this it was found that, Kabir Singh aka Shahid Kapoor was going to enter Animal earlier. Actually Sandeep Reddy Wanga had planned a crossover between Ranvijay and Kabir Singh at a special moment for Animal.

Why did Kabir Singh not enter Animal?

Shahid Kapoor was to be shown as Kabir Singh after the interval block of 'Animal'. A special sequence was prepared for this. Where after Ranvijay Singh's admission in the hospital, Doctor Kabir Singh was to enter to operate on him. Wanga had planned this to bring both the characters together. In which the drunk Kabir operates on the injured Ranvijay.

After this, a funny conversation was kept between Ranbir Kapoor and Shahid before getting discharged from the hospital. In which Ranvijay asks - "By the way, what is your name?" To which Kabir replies - "The whole country knows my name, Kabir Singh and you?" After this, the nervous Ranvijay says - After today, the whole country will also know my name. Ranvijay (Ranvijay Singh). However, after this meeting, both of them part ways regarding meeting in the future.

Why could the crossover not happen in Animal?

Actually, due to timing issues, Shahid Kapoor could not shoot the film at the last moment. However, Sandeep Reddy Wanga had the option to pack this sequence with another cameo, but he cancelled it completely.
