Nitin Gadkari on Vehicles Horn: Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that he is planning to bring a law in which only Indian music can be used in the horn of vehicles. He also said that he is also studying sirens used by ambulances and police vehicles, which can be replaced with the melodious tune played on All India Radio.

At the highway inauguration ceremony in Nashik, Gadkari said he has switched off the red beacon. Now I want to put an end to these sirens also. The sirens used by ambulances and police are being studied.

Nitin Gadkari said that the sound of Akashvani gives a pleasant feeling. I am thinking of using that tune for an ambulance so that people like it. The current siren is quite disturbing. Sirens are used especially during the passing of ministers. It also damages the ears.

He said, "I am studying it and am planning to enact a law soon that the horns of all vehicles should be made from Indian musical instruments. So that it sounds good. The sound of flute, tabla, violin, mouth organ, harmonium can be used.
