World Cup 2023: The Senior Selection Committee of BCCI made a last-minute change in Team India for the ODI World Cup starting from October 5. However, he was forced to make this change. For this reason, on September 28, the Senior Selection Committee headed by Ajit Agarkar gave a chance to off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in place of Akshar. Now the question is whether Ashwin's arrival will affect the team's playing-11?

When the team was announced for the World Cup, there was no off-spinner in the team and due to this many questions were raised. Now the team has a spinner like Ashwin who has a great game and a lot of experience too. In such a situation, it will not be easy for Rohit Sharma to keep Ashwin out. Ashwin was also a part of Team India in the T20 World Cup played in Australia last year.

Will you be a part of playing-11?

If we talk about India's playing 11 in the World Cup, till now it seemed certain that two spinners would be playing in it. In which one name was definite that of Ravindra Jadeja. Apart from him, Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav is also in excellent form at the moment. Till the time Akshar was there, it was believed that these two would get priority before Akshar, but with the arrival of Ashwin, the team has got another option. Now the team has an off-spinner. In such a situation, the team can play Ashwin against those teams which have more left handed batsmen. Earlier the team did not have this option. But for this the team will have to drop either Kuldeep or Jadeja. There is a possibility that only Kuldeep will go out.

Team India has another option. Rohit can now play all three spinners together if needed. This was not a possibility with Axar staying because Jadeja and Axar are similar type of bowlers but with the arrival of Ashwin, the team has three different types of spinners. In a situation where the pitch favors spin more, the team can play a fast bowler and play three spinners sitting outside. Rohit can do this work in Chennai where the pitch is helpful for spinners and Ashwin also comes from there, so he has experience of the pitch there.
