IPL 2023: The team of Mumbai Indians started with two consecutive defeats in IPL 2023. But after this the team led by Rohit Sharma won three consecutive matches and made a great comeback. The team is definitely riding on the Vijay Rath but its injury problems are not taking the name of reducing. Star pacers like Jasprit Bumrah and Jhye Richardson were already out of the team. Now Jofra Archer's fitness once again remains a cause of concern for the team. The England star pacer made his debut for Mumbai in IPL 2023 and also played his first match against RCB. It was expected that he would rock the entire season but once again injury came in his way.

Archer could not play in four matches due to injury after the first match. Giving an update on his own fitness, he said that he is trying to keep himself in the best possible condition to make it to the playing 11 of Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians team will play their sixth match against Punjab Kings on Saturday 22nd April. Jofra Archer gave the update

Significantly, Mumbai Indians bought Jofra Archer in the mega auction before IPL 2022 but he did not play the last season due to injury. But according to this season, he was taken in the team. But so far he has been able to play only one out of five matches. Talking to ESPN Cricinfo, Archer said that, definitely the last two weeks have not been the way you want when you are fully active. But when you are out for a long time, then you cannot expect to get back to 100 per cent fitness all of a sudden. There are times when you feel it is really serious. I don't know when my next match will be but I am trying to put myself in the best possible position (to play). To be honest, I just want to bowl as fast as I can but when you feel good, you better bowl well.

Archer played the first match against Royal Challengers Bangalore and gave 33 runs in 4 overs without any wicket. But after that he could not play in four matches. There is still suspense on his playing. The team of Mumbai Indians is in sixth place with 6 points after three wins out of 5. The team will play its sixth match against Punjab Kings on Saturday. For the time being, players like Jason Behrendorff, Arjun Tendulkar, Cameron Green and Hrithik Shokin have played a good role in bowling for the team. Now it has to be seen how well this attack can perform without Archer in the coming matches.
