Pakistan News: Pakistan on Thursday launched a multipurpose communication satellite for fast internet connectivity with the help of its friendly country China. This is expected to provide fast internet connectivity to Pakistan. This is the second satellite launched by Pakistan in a month. According to China's state news agency Xinhua, the multipurpose communication satellite is also known as PakSat MM1. It was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in China's southwestern province of Sichuan. China is also continuously helping Pakistan in the development of missiles and weapons.

The agency said that the satellite was put into orbit as per the plan. State broadcaster Pakistan Television said in a statement that the satellite would "provide the best internet facilities across Pakistan" and help improve television broadcasting, mobile phone and broadband services. According to the news of the English newspaper 'Dawn', the satellite will start providing service in August.

PM Shahbaz Sharif congratulates

According to the news of state news agency Associated Press Pakistan, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif congratulated the achievement and said that he hopes that this satellite will help in providing the fastest internet facility across the country. In a statement last week, Pakistan's Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) said that the launch of the satellite is part of the National Space Program 2047. Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, who was present at the launch site, said that Pakistan will soon launch satellites from its launch centers.
