Muhammad Yunus / Yunus became Yamraj! India got another chance to create panic without any effort

Violence against the Hindu community in Bangladesh is not stopping. Ban on government jobs, murders, looting and attacks on temples have become common. The Yunus government is questioning India, while the condition of minorities in the country itself is worse. India rejected Bangladesh's comment.

Muhammad Yunus: The ever-increasing incidents of violence and discrimination against the Hindu community in Bangladesh have once again raised international concern. The recent developments make it clear that not only are minority Hindus being targeted in Bangladesh, but efforts are also being made to separate them from the mainstream. Whether it is discrimination in government jobs or insecurity in public life—the Hindu community is under pressure on every front.

The situation worsened after the change of power

Since the coup of Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh has seen a huge increase in incidents of violence against the Hindu community. Vandalism of temples, attacks on houses, and murders of Hindu leaders have now become common news. The recent murder of a prominent Hindu leader has created a wave of concern not only within the country but across South Asia.

Yunus's remarks and India's strong response

Yunus, the head of the interim government of Bangladesh, had recently criticized India over the alleged anti-Muslim violence in West Bengal and demanded the Indian government to ensure the safety of the Muslim community. In response, India's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal reacted sharply and termed Yunus' comments as a "disingenuous and double-faced effort".

Jaiswal said that Bangladesh should ensure the safety of minorities in its country before commenting on the internal situation of India. He said in clear words, "Instead of such comments, Bangladesh should work on protecting the rights of its minorities."

Serious allegations of human rights violations

The Bangladesh government is also accused of misbehavior with Hindu minorities and arbitrary arrests. In many cases, people were detained without trial or disappeared. The arrest of Chinmay Krishna Das associated with ISKCON is a vivid example of this, who has been in jail for months and whose lawyer has also been attacked. This situation also raises questions on the judicial process.

India put the truth in front of the world

India has repeatedly made it clear to the international community that the condition of minorities in India is much better than in the rest of South Asian countries. Yunus's comment on India has put Bangladesh itself in the dock, where on one hand the government talks of reforms, while on the other hand the ground situation is continuously deteriorating.
