Mundka fire / 27 bodies recovered so far from four-storey building, 50 people were evacuated safely

A fire broke out in a 4-storey building near Delhi's Mundka metro station on Friday evening. 27 people have died in this accident, while 50 people have been safely evacuated from the building. Many people are still said to be missing and their family members are worried.

Many people are still said to be missing and their family members are worried. A person named Govind told news agency ANI that he is looking for Yashoda Devi, who is missing after the arson incident. Govind said, 'I came to know from a friend that there is a fire in the building. I immediately reached here and am looking for Yashoda. I tried to find him in hospitals also.

Another woman Nargis told ANI, 'I was told by Muskan on the phone that a building has caught fire here. He told me to save him. We immediately reached his office but could not get in touch with Muskaan. We have searched her everywhere, even in hospitals, but she could not be found. So far 12 people have been injured in this incident, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The Delhi Fire Department has said that the fire in the building has been completely brought under control. NDRF team has also reached the spot for relief and rescue operation.

Earlier on Friday, in the preliminary investigation, it was found that the four-storey commercial building where the fire broke out had offices of most of the companies. According to Delhi Police, the fire started in a CCTV and router manufacturing company located on the first floor. The owners of this company are in police custody. The local people helped a lot in the rescue. Police and NDRF personnel with the help of ropes rescued 50 people trapped in the building which was engulfed in flames. Many people are still feared trapped in the building.

Stairs were used by NDRF to evacuate people. Police personnel helped rescue the trapped people by breaking the windows of the building. At the same time, some relatives were showing photos of their loved ones and told that they have not been able to know anything till now. People trapped inside the building jumped from the windows of the lower floor to escape the fire. After the incident, the situation of jam was created due to the gathering of the crowd, due to which the relief and rescue work became difficult. Then the police vacated the place.
