Delhi Congress Nyay Yatra: Delhi Pradesh Congress Party has started 'Delhi Nyay Yatra' from today. This journey started from Rajghat and its aim is to communicate directly with the public in 70 assembly constituencies and 250 municipal areas of Delhi in the next one month. This journey has been inspired by Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' and Congress' 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra'. The journey has been organized under the leadership of State Congress President Devendra Yadav, which is considered an important step to improve the position of Congress in the possible assembly elections in February next year.Purpose and plan of Nyay Yatra'Delhi Nyay Yatra' is completely a padyatra, in which 200 regular travelers will be involved every day, who will roam the streets of Delhi for the entire 30 days and listen to the issues of the public and share the party's vision for their solution. On the first day of the journey, it started from Rajghat and proceeded passing through areas like Chandni Chowk, Matia Mahal, Hauz Qazi and Ballimaran.State Congress President Devendra Yadav says that the purpose of this yatra is to know the real issues of the people of Delhi and raise their voice. The Congress party believes that their political hold in Delhi is constantly weakening, and through this yatra, an attempt is being made to register their strong presence among the people.Attempt to regain lost political groundThe political scenario of Delhi has remained challenging for the Congress for the last few years. In the 2013 assembly elections, the party got only eight seats, and in the 2015 and 2020 elections, the Congress could not win a single seat. During this time many big leaders including Sheila Dixit also had to face defeat. Now through this yatra, the Congress is trying to regain its lost political ground, so that it can play the role of a strong opposition in Delhi.Targeting Delhi Government and Aam Aadmi PartyThe main objective of this yatra is to make the public aware against the Delhi Government and Aam Aadmi Party. The Congress party says that since 2013, the people of Delhi have faced 'injustice' on many issues. In the Nyay Yatra, issues like unfulfilled promises of the Delhi government, corruption, misleading the public in the name of schemes like free electricity and water will be discussed. Apart from this, serious issues like health, education, law and order and pollution of Delhi will also be brought to the fore.Direct attack on Arvind KejriwalDuring this yatra, Delhi Congress will directly attack Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party. State Congress President Devendra Yadav and AICC National Spokesperson Alok Sharma said that in this yatra, an attempt will be made to bring the corruption and administrative failures of the Delhi government in front of the public. Although both Aam Aadmi Party and Congress are part of the 'India Alliance', but after the Haryana elections, the bitterness between the two has increased, and its effect can be seen in Delhi as well.Rahul Gandhi's absence and Kharge's possible presenceAlthough the yatra is inspired by Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Yatra', Rahul Gandhi will not be able to join the yatra on the first day as he is busy with the Jharkhand elections. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's program is not confirmed yet, but it is likely that he may join the yatra by evening on the first day.Importance of the yatraDelhi Congress hopes to garner support among the public through this yatra so that they can perform better in the upcoming assembly elections. Congress believes that through this yatra, they can put pressure on the Delhi government by bringing forward the real issues of the public and present themselves as a better alternative.
