Chandigarh The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday questioned the ruling Congress for police the usage of water cannons and cane-charging protesting farmers in Moga on Thursday. “What is the distinction among the Captain government of Punjab and the Manohar Lal Khattar government of Haryana, whilst each is raining batons at the farmers,” stated Kultar Singh Sandhwan, AAP MLA and the president of the Kisan Wing in a press statement, including that farmers had been peacefully protesting and desired to impeach Sukhbir Singh Badal on the black farm laws.

He alleged that chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh was following withinside the footsteps of his boss Narendra Modi and was torturing farmers, because of his secret p.c. with the Badal family. “People of Punjab will by no means tolerate this,” he added.

Criticising Congress state president Navjot Singh Sidhu, Sandhwan stated the policy of the Congress government was oppressing the farmers, day in and day out; however Sidhu had preferred being silent on the issue. “Sidhu is visible shouting in favour of farmers from the stage, however, is but to utter a phrase in opposition to the caning and the FIRs that the Punjab Police have lodged in opposition to farmers,” Sandhwan claimed.

Responding to the Moga lathi-charge, Delhi deputy CM and AAP chief Manish Sisodia tweeted, “Brutal assault via way of means of police on farmers in Moga is unpardonable. The eerie silence of Sukhbir Badal, in opposition to whom the farmers were protesting and CM Captain Amarinder Singh, to whom the police reports, similarly vindicate that each of them is as a good deal anti-farmers because of the BJP govt in the Centre.”
