ED asked 50 questions to Lalu in 10 hours of interrogation

On Monday, ED had called Lalu Yadav to its Patna office for questioning in the land-for-job case. In 10 hours of interrogation, ED asked 50 questions from Lalu. It is being said that all the questions have been video recorded by ED. During the time Lalu Yadav was interrogated, Lalu Yadav's daughter Misa Bharti stood outside the ED office, while RJD workers also stood outside the ED office in Patna the whole day. First the fall of RJD government and now Lalu's daughter Misa Bharti has strongly attacked BJP regarding the action against Lalu family, while BJP has said zero tolerance on the issue of corruption.

The entire matter of this scam done by Lalu Yadav is related to railway recruitment. In the case, Lalu and his family are accused of giving jobs to people in exchange for land while he was the Railway Minister in the UPA government from 2004 to 2009. A case has been registered by CBI against Lalu along with his family and it is alleged that Lalu had taken bribe in exchange of job in the name of family members. Lalu is accused that while he was the Railway Minister, he had recruited many people for Group-D jobs in Railways without issuing any advertisement.

It also became clear in the case that the people who got these jobs had to give up even their land. Many people were given jobs within 3 days of applying. Under this, people were deployed in places like Jabalpur, Mumbai, Chhattisgarh and Jaipur etc.

Land worth more than Rs 4 crore grabbed for Rs 26 lakh

According to CBI, Lalu Yadav took land as bribe from people to whom he gave jobs while he was a minister. Lalu took these plots in the names of several family members including his wife Rabri and daughter Misa. According to CBI, the RJD leader acquired 7 plots from 12 people cheaply or without giving anything in the name of job. Lalu is accused of giving jobs to the people of Bihar in the Land for Job scam and got land worth about Rs 4 crores transferred to his family members for Rs 26 lakhs. All these plots together were of more than one lakh square feet.

5 people of Lalu family are accused in the Land for Job scam. Lalu Yadav, wife Rabri Devi, son Tejashwi Yadav, daughter Misa Bharti and Hema Yadav are accused in the scam.
