BCCI Women Contract: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the new central contract list of women cricketers for the year 2024-25. This time 16 women players of Team India have been given annual central contract. The BCCI has divided these players into three grades, which include Grade A, Grade B and Grade C.Three star players in Grade AThe BCCI has included Indian women's team captain Harmanpreet Kaur, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and experienced all-rounder Deepti Sharma in Grade A. These players will get Rs 50 lakh annually.Four players in Grade BThe players included in Grade B will be given an amount of Rs 30 lakh annually. Renuka Thakur, Jemima Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh and Shefali Verma have got a place in this category.Nine players in Grade CThis year nine players have been included in Grade C, who will get an amount of Rs 10 lakh annually. Grade C includes Yastika Bhatia, Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil, Titas Sadhu, Arundhati Reddy, Amanjot Kaur, Uma Chhetri, Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar.Central contract effective from 1 October 2024This new central contract list released by the BCCI will be effective from 1 October 2024 to 30 September 2025.Much less money than male playersThe BCCI has adopted a policy of equal match fees for female and male players, but there is still a big difference in the amount of the central contract. There are four grades in the central contract list of male players, in which Grade A Plus players get Rs 7 crore, while Grade A gets Rs 5 crore, Grade B gets Rs 3 crore and Grade C players get Rs 1 crore annually.
