Bishnupur MLA Tanmoy Ghosh joined the Trinamool Congress on Monday, alleging that his BJP turned into indulging in vindictive politics. Speaking to reporters, Ghosh claimed that the BJP was additionally trying to cause chaos among a number of the people of West Bengal, due to which he joined the TMC.
“I urge all to enrol in the TMC for the welfare of West Bengal. There is a need to bolster the hands of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee,” he stated.BJP is doing vindictive politics and trying to create chaos for a number of the people of the state, Ghosh stated, including that those have been the cause for him to enrol in the TMC.
He had switched over to the BJP from TMC in March, days ahead of the state elections. Earlier, he was the TMC Youth president of Bishnupur metropolis in Bankura district and also a councillor of the neighbourhood civic body.
Welcoming Ghosh to the party fold, state Education Minister Bratya Basu stated BJP is attempting to take post-ballot revenge towards the TMC.
“We will combat the BJP politically. It is likewise seeking to belittle the humans of West Bengal,” he stated. Basu stated many BJP leaders are in contact with the TMC. “We appeal to all to enrol in the TMC. But, who can be taken in will be determined via way of means of the party leadership,” he stated.
The BJP won 77 of the 292 seats of the West Bengal assembly that went to the polls. The Trinamool Congress received 213 seats, even as ISF and GJM bagged one seat every. Voting in Jangipur and Samserganj needed to be postponed after the death of one candidate every withinside the seats.
