Lok Sabha Elections / Burke's grandson gets ticket from Sambhal, names of 6 candidates in SP's new list

Samajwadi Party has released another list for the Lok Sabha elections. The party has announced the names of a total of 6 candidates in its sixth list. Among these six candidates, SP has given ticket to Ziaur Rahman Burke from Sambhal, Rajiv Rai from Ghosi, Manoj Chaudhary from Baghpat, Rahul Awan from Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida), Bhagwat Saran Gangwar from Pilibhit and Rajendra S. Bind from Mirzapur.

Lok Sabha Elections: Samajwadi Party has released another list for the Lok Sabha elections. The party has announced the names of a total of 6 candidates in its sixth list. Among these six candidates, SP has given ticket to Ziaur Rahman Burke from Sambhal, Rajiv Rai from Ghosi, Manoj Chaudhary from Baghpat, Rahul Awan from Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida), Bhagwat Saran Gangwar from Pilibhit and Rajendra S. Bind from Mirzapur.

Till now the party has announced a total of 43 names, after the release of the sixth list the total number of candidates has increased to 49. In the previous list, the party had given ticket to Dharmendra Yadav from the much-discussed seat Azamgarh. From this seat, he will contest against Nirahua who is contesting on BJP ticket.

Changed candidate from Noida

SP had given ticket to Dr. Mahendra Nagar from Gautam Buddha Nagar in its fifth list, but the party has changed the candidate from this seat in its new list. Now instead of Nagar from Noida, the party has given ticket to Rahul Awana. At the same time, if BJP has given ticket to Mahesh Sharma from this seat. That is, in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the fight which was earlier to be between Mahesh Sharma and Mahendra Nagar, will now be with Rahul Awana.

Who is Ziaur Rahman Burke?

SP MP Dr. Shafiqur Rahman Burke had maintained his dominance in the politics of Western Uttar Pradesh. Even though he is no longer in this world, Burke's supporters are still considered his loyalists. Now, to carry forward his legacy, his grandson Ziaur Rahman Burke has entered the electoral fray. Samajwadi Party has given him ticket from Sambhal. At the same time, the party has given ticket to Samajwadi Party's national secretary and spokesperson Rajeev Rai from Ghosi.

Which big leaders have got tickets so far?

Samajwadi Party has so far declared the names of many big leaders as candidates. Shivpal Yadav from Badaun, Devesh Shakya from Etah, Ravidas Mehrotra from Lucknow, SP Singh Patel from Pratapgarh, Utkarsh Verma from Kheri and many other leaders have been given tickets.
