Indian Air Force: The strength of the Indian Air Force is going to double. Today the first C-295 transport aircraft of the Air Force will be formally inducted into the Air Force. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will hand over these aircraft to the Air Force in a ceremony at Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad. Along with this, Rajnath Singh is also going to inaugurate Bharat Drone Shakti 2023 today.

The first program is to formally induct C-295 into the Air Force. This aircraft has reached Vadodara on 20th September after covering a distance of 6 thousand 854 kilometers from Spain. Today this aircraft will take off from Vadodara and reach Hindon airbase. The most special thing about this aircraft is that the aircraft can take off from a runway less than one kilometer. Whereas for landing it needs only 420 meter runway. This means that currently the Air Force will be able to land troops directly even in inaccessible hilly areas and islands.

Big change will come in India's aviation industry

This aircraft is going to become the identity of self-reliant India. Till now this aircraft is manufactured by the company Airbus but now it will be made in India only. Two years ago, the government had signed an agreement with Airbus Space and Defense Company to purchase 56 C-295 aircraft for Rs 21,935 crore. Of these, 16 aircraft are to come from Spain, while the 17th aircraft will be manufactured in the country itself. An agreement has been reached between Airbus and Tata to make this aircraft in India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone of this project during his visit to Vadodara on October 31 last year. 40 aircraft will be manufactured in the setup prepared by Tata Advanced Systems Limited in partnership with Airbus in Vadodara. Whereas Airbus will supply 16 ready aircraft to India from its setup in Spain. It is expected that all 56 aircraft will be delivered to the Air Force by the year 2026. Experts believe that this project is going to bring a big change in India's aviation industry.
