Former Chief Minister Uma Bharti has now taken a furious attitude regarding the liquor ban in Madhya Pradesh and today expressed displeasure over the liquor shop in Barkheda Pathani not being removed even after being against the liquor policy. They ransacked the liquor shop by picking up stones and shouting pro-Bharati slogans on their action.

Former Chief Minister Uma Bharti has now taken a furious attitude regarding the liquor ban in Madhya Pradesh and today expressed displeasure over the liquor shop in Barkheda Pathani not being removed even after being against the liquor policy. They ransacked the liquor shop by picking up stones and shouting pro-Bharati slogans on their action. Bharti has warned to remove these shops within a week. At the same time, Congress has described this method for the prohibition of liquor. PCC President's media coordinator Narendra Saluja has sought permission from Home Minister Narottam Mishra to run a campaign to ban liquor in the manner of Bharti.

Prior to the last few months, Chief Minister Uma Bharti was continuously giving dates regarding the prohibition of liquor, but even after this, the shops established against the liquor policy were not being removed. Recently, she had reached a liquor shop in Gunaga which was near the Taravali temple and demanded its removal. After this today she reached a liquor shop in Barkheda Pathani where she met people. Asked him about the shop. He told that he has asked the district administration several times to remove the liquor shop. Even after this the shop has not been removed till date.

Former Chief Minister Uma Bharti could not contain her anger after hearing complaints from the regional people and she ransacked the liquor shop by picking up a stone. He made a video of it and posted it with his Twitter handle. Uma Bharti has written on Twitter that in Barkheda Pathani Azad Nagar, BHEL Bhopal, there is a chain of liquor shops in the labor colony, which serve liquor to the people in a big courtyard. The entire earning of the workers gets burnt in these shops. The residents and women here raised objections, staged dharna in protest because this shop is against the government policy. Bharti has further written that every time the administration gave assurance to close these shops, but it has been many years, it has not been done till date.

Bharti had given a statement to run public awareness

Significantly, Uma Bharti had met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recently regarding the prohibition of liquor and both had agreed to work towards de-addiction through public awareness campaign. Bharti had also announced on Friday that she would come before the media on March 24 regarding the liquor policy. But before that today Bharti has demonstrated a fierce attitude towards its goal of liquor ban.
