Waqf Amendment Bill / CM Yogi's statement on the protest against the Waqf Amendment Bill

The Waqf Amendment Bill may be introduced in Parliament on April 2. On the day of Eid, the Muslim community protested against it by wearing black bands. CM Yogi Adityanath said, "The nation is supreme." He questioned what welfare has the Waqf Board done so far?

Waqf Amendment Bill: The Waqf Amendment Bill can be introduced in Parliament on April 2. The central government is preparing to introduce this bill in the first Lok Sabha session, the Lok Sabha session is to run till April 4. Meanwhile, on the day of Eid, lakhs of Muslims of the country tied black bands on their hands and offered Namaz regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill. Its purpose was that Muslims oppose the Waqf Amendment Bill. Regarding this, today Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given a befitting reply to those opposing the Waqf Amendment Bill, as well as asked them some questions.

For me, the nation is above all - CM Yogi

Yogi Adityanath said in his interview to a news agency, "I work as a citizen. I do not consider myself special. As a citizen, I fulfill my constitutional responsibilities. For me, the nation is above all. If my country is safe, then my 'dharma' is also safe, and if 'dharma' is safe, it paves the way for welfare."

'Reform is the need of the hour'

In an exclusive interview to news agency PTI, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while answering a question on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, said that reform is the need of the hour. He further said, "Every good work is opposed. Similarly, there is a ruckus on the Waqf Amendment Bill.

Has the Waqf Board done any welfare?

The CM further asked the people opposing the Waqf Amendment Bill that those who are creating a ruckus on this issue, I want to ask them... has the Waqf Board done any welfare? Leave aside everything, has the Waqf done any welfare of the Muslims as well? After this, he said that Waqf has become the center of personal interest. It has become a medium to forcibly occupy any government property and reform is the need of the hour and every reform is opposed."
