According to Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh, the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will stop on Tuesday morning and will resume from Fursatganj in Amethi at 2 pm.Defamation case was filed in 2018According to reports, a defamation case was filed by BJP leader Vijay Mishra in 2018 against Gandhi for allegedly making "objectionable" remarks against Union Home Minister Amit Shah at a press conference in Bengaluru. He was referring to comments made by the Congress leader alleging BJP's involvement in a murder case during the tenure of then party president Amit Shah. The BJP leader claims that four years before Rahul Gandhi's statement, Amit Shah was acquitted by a special CBI court in Mumbai in the 2005 fake encounter case.If proven guilty, he may be sentenced to two years' imprisonmentBJP leader Vijay Mishra had said that Rahul Gandhi had accused Amit Shah in Bengaluru that he is a murderer. When I heard these allegations, I was very saddened because I have been working for the party for 33 years. I filed a complaint in this regard through my lawyer. The case was filed before the District and Sessions MP/MLA court in Sultanpur on August 4, 2018. The lawyer appearing for Vijay Mishra had said that if Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is proved guilty by the court, he could be sentenced to a maximum of two years.
