BJP has reacted sharply to Rahul Gandhi's statement. Party spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala accused Rahul Gandhi of insulting constitutional institutions and said that "going abroad and defaming India" has now become Rahul Gandhi's habit. He said that when he wins the election, the Election Commission is fine, but as soon as he loses, he raises questions on it.

BJP leader Pradeep Bhandari directly attacked Rahul Gandhi and called him "anti-democracy" and "anti-India". He said that Rahul Gandhi is not able to win the trust of Indian voters, so now he is questioning the country's democratic processes on foreign forums.
