Narine's storm: dominated with both ball and bat

The hero of Kolkata's victory was Sunil Narine, who wreaked havoc in bowling first. He took 3 important wickets for just 13 runs and broke the back of Chennai. Then, coming to bat, he played an explosive innings of 44 runs in just 18 balls and completely turned the match in favor of Kolkata.

He was supported by Varun Chakraborty and Harshit Rana, who took 2-2 wickets. Vaibhav Arora and Moeen Ali took 1-1 wickets, but Chennai's bowlers could not get any special success against KKR's batsmen.

KKR's reply innings: Chasing the target became a game

Chasing the easy target of 104 runs, Kolkata won the match in just 10.1 overs. Narine and Phil Salt gave a fast start, which increased the pressure on Chennai's bowlers. Narine's innings of 44 runs made the target easy, and KKR made the match one-sided with 8 wickets in hand.

Disappointment at Chepauk, defeat recorded in the pages of history
