Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by 12 runs on Sunday and got back on track for victory. Tilak Verma played a brilliant innings of 59 runs. Delhi's innings was restricted to 193 runs, Karun Nair scored 89 runs. Three runouts in the 19th over changed the course of the match.

MI vs DC: In a thrilling match played at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday, Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by 12 runs to register a memorable win. The match was a nail-biter till the last overs, but three consecutive runouts in the 19th over dashed Delhi's hopes.

Mumbai's strong batting, Tilak Verma's brilliance

Mumbai Indians, who lost the toss and came out to bat first, had a solid start. Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton added 47 runs for the first wicket. However, Rohit was out LBW after scoring just 18 runs. After this, Suryakumar Yadav and Ryan took the innings forward. Surya played an important innings of 40 and Ryan 41 runs.

Tilak Verma was the brightest star from Mumbai. He played a half-century innings of 59 runs and played an important role in taking the team beyond 200. In the final overs, Naman Dheer (38*) and Will Jacks (1*) made a good partnership and took the score to 205.

The runouts on three consecutive balls completely changed the course of the match and Delhi was reduced to 193 runs.
