Arvind Kejriwal News: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah expressing deep concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the capital. In this letter, he expressed the need to discuss the growing image of Delhi being recognized as the "crime capital". Kejriwal has urged the Home Minister to meet and find a solution to this issue.

Serious questions on Delhi's law and order

Arvind Kejriwal has written that incidents of crime against women, murder and robbery are increasing rapidly in Delhi. He said that Delhi ranks first among the 19 metro cities of the country in terms of crimes against women. Along with this, Delhi is also at the top in murder cases. He also highlighted the incidents of crime happening day by day in different areas of the capital and the active gangs doing extortion.

Delhi in panic due to terrorist threats

The Chief Minister said that in recent times, threats of bombing Delhi's airport and schools are being received continuously. Recently, DPS School located in RK Puram received an email threatening to blow it up with a bomb, following which a search operation was launched. This is the second time in the last one week that a school has received such a threat. So far, a total of three times, Delhi schools have been threatened through email.

350% increase in drug crimes

Kejriwal in his letter also expressed concern over the 350% increase in drug-related crimes. He said that this not only endangers the future of the youth, but is a big threat to the safety of the entire society. He stressed that it is very important to ensure the safety of the citizens of Delhi and for this the central government should also cooperate.

Arvind Kejriwal wrote that the issue of law and order in Delhi is on priority for the AAP government. However, he also clarified that since law and order is under the central government, coordination with the Home Minister is necessary.

Kejriwal requested Amit Shah to give him time for a meeting soon and wrote, "The safety of the people of Delhi is our biggest responsibility. This is not a political issue, but an issue related to the safety of all citizens. I request you to discuss this matter as soon as possible."
