Delhi / Delhi-based builder tries to kill in-laws with slow poison Thallium

A Delhi builder has been arrested for using Slow Poison 'Thallium' to kill in-laws in Indrapuri area. During interrogation, the builder told the police that he and Divya had married 12 years ago. According to Varun, his in-laws allegedly taunted him for not having a child.

New Delhi: A Delhi builder has been arrested for using Slow Poison 'Thallium' to kill in-laws in Indrapuri area of ​​Delhi. The accused builder, resident of Greater Kailash, has been identified as Varun Arora. The police arrested him on Wednesday. Police is now trying to locate the place from where the accused Varun bought the thallium.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) West Urviza Goyal, due to the slow effect of thallium poison it was first used to eliminate political rivals. DCP said that when Varun searched for slow poison on Google, he came to know about thallium.

Thallium was given by mixing it with fish

The DCP said that on the night of 31 January, Varun had made fish for food and added slow poison thallium to him, but after watching a comedy show he himself did not eat the fish, saying that he had jaw pain due to laughter. . He had given milk to all the children of the house. However, his wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and med ate the fish.

After this, on 3 February, sister-in-law Priyanka Sharma became ill and later died. Varun's wife Divya also fell ill in March after the deaths of her sister and mother.

DCP Goyal said that Varun's wife is still in a coma, while her mother-in-law Anita Sharma died on March 22. During MLC at Gangaram Hospital, he was found to have thallium in his body. Although Varun's father-in-law was not hospitalized, he complained of sudden hair loss. Police said that Varun's suspected role in the case came to light during the investigation and hence he was arrested on Wednesday.

In-laws used to taunt in the absence of a child

During interrogation, Varun told the police that he and Divya had married 12 years ago. According to Varun, his in-laws allegedly taunted him for not having a child. Four years ago, Varun and his wife Divya had twins from the IVF procedure after failing to conceive naturally. Last year, Divya conceived naturally, but had to undergo an abortion after doctors threatened her life.

Varun was angry with wife's miscarriage

Varun's father-in-law Devendra Sharma told, Varun was angry with the miscarriage. When the police reached the hospital to arrest Varun, he claimed that he too had eaten thallium, but the police arrested him after the checkup. Varun's wife Divya is in a coma for the last 22 days. After the first test on Divya, thallium was tested on all others.

Devendra Sharma, father-in-law of accused Varun Arora, said, "On January 31, my son-in-law cooked fish for us, which my wife, two daughters and I ate. On February 15, my younger daughter passed away. My elder daughter Has been in a coma for 22 days, when thallium was found in his body. It has also been found in my body. "
