Election 2023: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's troubles are not ending. Recently, ED had given him a notice and summoned him, now the Election Commission has issued a notice against Kejriwal. BJP had complained to the Election Commission that the common man has shown PM Modi in a derogatory manner on its official handle. Apart from this, the Election Commission has also issued a notice to Priyanka Gandhi.Took cognizance of BJP's complaintTaking cognizance of this, the Election Commission (EC) has issued a notice to AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal. In fact, BJP had complained to the Election Commission that two tweets posted on AAP's official handle had allegedly portrayed PM Modi in a derogatory, insulting and defamatory manner.Answer sought in the noticeThe Election Commission said in the notice, "The posts prima facie violate the Model Code of Conduct as well as the provisions of election and penal laws; therefore, please clarify your statement on this by November 16, that there is violation of MCC." Why should not appropriate action be taken against you as well as the provisions of the Act? Also why should the electoral and penal laws not be made against you."
