It will be started with first 10 buses, then based on the feedback, preparations are being made to run up to 100 buses.Giving information, Greencell Mobility CEO Ashok Aggarwal said that the electric bus will burn one and a half units of electricity at a distance of one kilometer. Its cost will be around Rs 12 in one km, while its cost in diesel comes to around Rs 40. Although its operation is cheap, but its cost is double as compared to the luxury diesel bus. One bus will stop the emission of 5 thousand tons of carbon dioxide in a year. A bus will run two lakh km in a year.Aggarwal told that the bus will run 250 km in one-time charging. Its charging stations will be in Bhopal-Indore. Apart from this, where the bus will halt between the two cities, there will also be a consideration to build a charging station. He told that the cost of an electric bus is about 2.5 crores. In this way, an investment of about Rs 250 crore will be made on 100 buses in the state. In this 12 meter bus will be 45 seater and 13 and half meter bus will be 54 seater. It will run on many routes in the state. Agrawal said that for the passengers of Bhopal-Indore, lounges will be made on the lines of the airport so that they do not face any kind of problem. Food and beverage facility will be available in it.Aggarwal said that a bus has a staff of 7 employees. These will be local. The trial of electric bus is going on right now. It will also take 3 hours to cover the distance of Indore-Bhopal. The fare is not fixed yet. The manufacturing unit of the buses is in Bangalore.
