This has been confirmed by the Chinese Health Department on Tuesday. However, it has been said that the risk of spreading this infection to other people is low.

According to the information received, fever and other symptoms were confirmed on April 5 in a four-year-old child in Henan province. Subsequent investigations have confirmed the H3N8 strain of bird flu in it. It has been told by the National Health Commission that the infection has not been found in the people who came in contact with the boy. Investigation found that the four-year-old boy was exposed to chickens and birds in his house.

Epidemic risk reduced

China's National Health Commission has said that preliminary investigations have found that the H3N8 strain of bird flu has little to no ability to effectively infect humans. In such a situation, the risk of spreading the epidemic on a large scale is low. According to experts, H3N8 strain was found so far in horses, dogs, birds.
