Cricket / Fittest player at 48: Malti trolls brother Deepak Chahar over age on Wikipedia

Fast bowler Deepak Chahar's sister Malti took to Twitter to troll her brother after Wikipedia showed the 28-year-old's age as 48. "Thanks to Wikipedia...finally Deepak is elder to me...Fittest player at 48," she wrote. "This might be the reason why he is in CSK," a fan jokingly commented. "And he debuted at the age of 46," another wrote.

Cricket Desk: Malti Chahar was surprised to see her brother and India cricketer Deepak Chahar's age on Wikipedia. The age was wrongly mentioned in his Wikipedia page and someone increased it by 20 years.

Deepak, who is just 28-year-old, was mentioned as 48-year-old in his biography with a wrong date of birth - August 7, 1972. Malti couldn't stop laughing at the fake information and she posted it on her Twitter account.

"Thanks to Wikipedia...finally Deepak is elder to me", she wrote. Malti also joked that Deepak is the fittest player at such an old age. "Fittest player at 48 @deepak_chahar9 @Wikipedia #deepakchahhar," the caption further read.

The original date of birth of Deepak is August 7, 1992. He made his debut for India in a T20I match against England and the speedster was 25-year-old back then.

Deepak has played two ODIs for India and overall 7 T20Is till now. He has the record for the best bowling figures in a men's T20I match. He earned the record against Bangladesh on November 10, 2019, by picking up 6 wickets for seven runs.
