In an attempt to make the experience of its app more interesting for the users, Paytm has released a new feature called Tap to Pay feature. With the help of this feature, you can make payment without opening Paytm app and without using internet. Let us know how this feature works and you can activate it anywhere on your phone.

If you want to make payment from Paytm app without using internet, then let us tell you that this latest feature of Paytm is based on NFC and hence this is the only feature that works without internet. Let us tell you that this feature is currently available only for Android users as iOS users can use NFC only through Apple Pay, which is not currently available in India.

How to use this feature

To activate this feature on the Paytm app of your Android smartphone, first update your Paytm app to the latest version. After this, open the app, select the option 'Tap to Pay', then select the option of 'Add New Card' at the bottom of the screen and save your card details. If you have already saved your card then ignore this step.

After this select the card for which you want to activate this feature. After doing this, verify your card, for which a one time password i.e. OTP will come on your phone, feed it. In this way tap to pay feature will be activated on your phone. To use this feature, all you have to do is tap your phone on the PoS machine and the transaction will be done.

Keep in mind that to use this feature, you have to keep the NFC option on your phone. Also, the upper limit for making payment under this feature is Rs 5000, after which you will have to enter the PIN on the PoS machine itself.
