Prices were increased in December

Last month, in December 2024, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders were increased by Rs 16.50. This increase was done after the price hike in November 2024. It is worth noting that oil companies review the prices of LPG cylinders on the first of every month.

Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) price also cut

The prices of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) used for airplanes have also been cut. Aviation fuel has been made cheaper from the beginning of January 2025. In December, ATF prices were given a relief of Rs 11,401.37 per kilolitre, which proved to be a big relief for the air service sector.

Benefits for consumers

This New Year gift will provide relief to the hotel and restaurant industry, while helping to make air travel cheaper. However, common domestic consumers have not got any relief in cylinder prices at the moment.

These steps by the government and oil companies have been taken with the aim of boosting consumer interest and the economy.
