Passport is an important and mandatory document if you are planning to go abroad. To get a passport, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has opened Passport Seva Kendras across the country where you can get a passport made. Today we will tell you what documents are required before applying for a passport.Required documents for new passport
- Photo passbook of any government bank bank account
- a voter ID card
- Aadhar card
- electricity bill
- rent agreement
- driving license
- pan card
- Landline or postpaid mobile bill
- proof of gas connection
- Gordon's passport
- Letterhead (certificate).

- school leaving Certificate
- Birth certificate

- Certificate in the name of parents

- Aadhar Card or E-Aadhaar

- You will have to register on the Passport Seva Portal to submit the online form.
- After registering, login to the Passport Seva Portal.
- Click on the Apply for Fresh Passport or Passport Reissue link.
- Fill the required details in the form and submit
- After submitting the form for fresh or re-issuance of passport, click on the link “Pay & Schedule Appointment” to schedule an appointment at Passport Seva Kendra (PSK).
- Find Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) location and select your PSK
- After booking the appointment, you can pay online through Credit/Debit Card or SBI Bank Challan.
- Make sure to print the user application receipt.
- Visit the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) where the appointment has been booked, the other website that opens in a new window with the documents that include proof of date of birth, proof of identity with a photograph, proof of residence and proof of nationality.
- After which your police verification will be done and in 10 to 15 days your passport will arrive at home through speed post.
