Maharashtra Election / Maharashtra's projects were taken away and given to other states- Rahul Gandhi

On the last day of campaigning for Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024, Rahul Gandhi accused the central and state government. He said that projects worth Rs 7 lakh crore were sent to Gujarat, due to which the youth of Maharashtra lost their jobs. Rahul made many promises, such as Rs 3000 to women, loan waiver for farmers and Rs 4000 per month to the unemployed.

Maharashtra Election: On the last day of campaigning for Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024, Rahul Gandhi targeted the central and state government. He accused Maharashtra of shifting projects worth Rs 7 lakh crore to other states, affecting local employment. He also claimed irregularities in the Dharavi redevelopment scheme.

Emphasis on reservation and caste census

Rahul promised to remove the 50% cap on reservation and conduct a caste census. He said these policies are central issues for the Congress and will empower the underprivileged sections of society.

Economic and social promises

Rahul made several promises, including ₹3000 monthly allowance for women, free bus travel, loan waiver of up to Rs 3 lakh for farmers, better MSP on crops and ₹4000 monthly assistance for unemployed youth.

Attack on Adani and central government

Rahul attacked the Narendra Modi government for benefiting the Adani Group. He said the loss of Maharashtra's resources has been suffered by the general public and the residents of Dharavi.

Congress has said that it will contest the elections by keeping public issues at the centre.
