Maharashtra Election 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has termed the historic victory of NDA in the Maharashtra Assembly elections as a victory of development and good governance. Allies Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) have won 15 and 14 seats respectively. Among the major winners, Nitesh Rane has registered a big victory by a margin of 58,007 votes from Kankavli assembly seat in Sindhudurg district. Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar won the Colaba seat by 48,581 votes.Among Shiv Sena candidates Uday Samant from Ratnagiri and Deepak Kesarkar from Sawantwadi won by margins of 41,590 and 39,899 votes respectively. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's NCP also performed well, winning 14 seats and maintaining a lead in 27 seats.Women and youth leadership shineWomen and youth candidates also performed well in the Maharashtra elections. NCP's Aditi Tatkare won from Shrivardhan constituency in Raigad district by a huge margin of 82,798 votes. Assembly Deputy Speaker Narhari Zirwal won from Dindori constituency in Nashik district by 44,403 votes.Promise of political stability and developmentThis victory of NDA is a symbol of people's faith in development and good governance not only in Maharashtra but across the country.
