PM Modi France Visit: On the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi reached Paris on a two-day visit to France. During this, on Friday, on the second day of the tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Bastille Day parade organized as part of the National Day celebrations of France, along with President Emmanuel Macron as a special guest. A contingent from all the three services of India mesmerized the people by participating in this parade. On this occasion, Rafale fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) also participated in the 'flypast' along with the French fighter jets.

March past on the tune of 'Saare Jahan Se Accha'

Marching to the tune of 'Saare Jahan Se Accha', a 269-member contingent from the three Services of India participated in the parade. Prime Minister Modi saluted the Indian contingent as he passed through the stage, where he was seated with Macron, and other dignitaries.

Throughout the parade, Macron was seen explaining to Modi the features of the traditional parade. French National Day or Bastille Day has a special place in the history of France as it commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison during the French Revolution in 1789.
