Azamgarh / Illegal liquor factory operator Nadeem injured in police encounter, 50 thousand reward was announced a day earlier

Nadeem, a reward of fifty thousand rupees and the operator of illegal liquor factory, has been arrested after being injured in an encounter with the police. He has been admitted to the district hospital. He was caught in an encounter near Phulwaria Sofipur More on Purvanchal Expressway under Ahraula police station in the early hours of Thursday.

Azamgarh police raided Rupaipur village of Ahraula police station area on Tuesday night and caught illegal liquor factory. So far 15 people have died due to drinking spurious liquor manufactured in this factory. Police had arrested seven people in the case. At the same time, along with factory operator Nadeem, his three brothers and two other accused had managed to escape from the spot.

SP Anurag Arya had announced a reward of 25-25 thousand on all the absconding accused. At the same time, late night, DIG Akhilesh Kumar increased the reward amount to 50-50 thousand rupees on Nadeem and his brothers. Four teams of police were engaged in the arrest of illegal liquor traders.

Admitted to hospital after being shot

On Thursday, between four and five o'clock in the morning, a police encounter took place with Nadeem near Phulwaria-Sofipur turn on Purvanchal Expressway under Ahraula police station. In the encounter, the operator of the illegal liquor factory, Nadeem was injured due to bullet injury in the leg. The injured have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
