Senior off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was on Wednesday included in India's 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup along with Ishan Kishan, Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy.
The 34-year-old Ashwin ultimate played white-ball cricket for India in 2017. Kishan and Chakravarthy were rewarded for their constant overall performance withinside the IPL and the few opportunities they were given with the Indian crew.
The BCCI has additionally appointed former India captain MS Dhoni as the crew mentor for the tournament.
