IndiGo flight News / Indigo received bomb threats on 2 flights, investigation begins

Two IndiGo flights have received bomb threats. Security checks have been started on Mumbai to Jeddah flight 6E56 and Mumbai to Muscat flight 6E1275 after the threat. Earlier, an Air India flight had also received such a threat.

IndiGo flight News: A serious incident related to airline security has come to light. After Air India, now two flights of IndiGo have received bomb threats, after which security checks of both these flights have been started immediately. These incidents are one of the biggest news of today and remain a matter of concern for air travelers.

Flights going from Mumbai to Jeddah and Muscat received threats

IndiGo's first flight, which was leaving from Mumbai to Jeddah, flight number 6E56, has been threatened with bombing. At the same time, the second flight, flight number 6E1275, flying from Mumbai to Muscat, also received a similar threat. After these threats, security agencies took immediate action and both the flights were taken to a different place and security checks have been started under standard operating procedures (SOP).

IndiGo's statement

An IndiGo spokesperson said that as per the protocol, both the flights have been taken to different safe places. The spokesperson also informed that strict measures are being taken to ensure the safety of passengers and crew, following standard security check procedures on both flights. IndiGo has assured that any kind of threat is under control at the moment and the safety of passengers is their priority.

Air India flight also received threat

Earlier this morning, an Air India flight also received a bomb threat. This flight was going from Mumbai to JFK, New York, which was immediately diverted to Delhi Airport and made an emergency landing. This Air India flight number was AI119, which was immediately stopped for security check after the threat.

BCAS information

The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has confirmed that a total of three flights received bomb threats today. Of these three flights, two are IndiGo flights and one is Air India flight. BCAS has informed that IndiGo flight 6E1275 from Mumbai to Muscat has been allowed to fly, while security checks are going on on the other two planes. BCAS further said that the other two planes will also be allowed to fly soon, till the security checks are completed.
