Sports / It’s Confirmed, India to Wear Orange and Blue Jersey vs England

The official apparel sponsor of BCCI, Nike, today formally unveiled Team India's orange-blue jersey for their World Cup match against England. India will wear the away jersey on June 30, so it doesn't clash with England's blue jersey. The ICC had said various colour options were given to BCCI and they chose the combination that "looked the best to them".

The Indian cricket team’s official apparel sponsor, Nike, has confirmed that the men’s team will be sporting an orange and blue jersey for Sunday’s ICC World Cup match against England.

Since hosts England also have a blue jersey, India will debut their ‘away jersey’ for the first time in the tournament on 30 June in Birmingham.

‘The ODI and Away Kit designs launched this year are inspired by the young new generation of India and the fearless spirit of the national teams,’ said the apparel company in their official statement.

This is the first time India will move away from their traditional blue colour of their cricket jersey.

Pictures of the jersey had been doing the rounds of social media for a while but an official confirmation had not been made by either the BCCI or Nike.
