Jharkhand Floor Test: Champai Soren government's litmus test took place on Monday in Jharkhand, in which he was successful in saving the government. Before winning the trust vote, JMM general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya had claimed that he had no less than 47 MLAs. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh had alleged that Champai Soren was given very little time for the trust vote. 5th date was given, whereas Nitish Kumar was given time till 12th.

MLAs were taken to Hyderabad

Last week, the Enforcement Directorate had arrested Hemant Soren, after which Champai Soren has become the new Chief Minister. Fearing horse-trading, the ruling JMM-led alliance had taken its MLAs to a resort in Hyderabad, from where it brought its MLAs back to Ranchi on Sunday evening.
